The new Rescue - Pumper has been approved by the taxpayers. Waverly - Barton Fire District will be going with Rosenbauer (Central States) as the manufacture of the apparatus. The Rescue - Pumper will be built on Spartan (Gladiator) Chassis with a rescue style body and with a seating of 8, 5 of them will be SCBA seats. It will have a 1500 gpm pump rear mount pump and 750 gallons of water tank. It will also have a 4-bottle cascade system, 106 feet of ground ladders, 20k generator, 9k Light Tower and other nice bells & whistles. Waverly - Barton is dealing with Empire Emergency Apparatus Inc., in North Tonawanda, NY for the purchase of this piece of fire apparatus. We are expecting a May of 2009 delivery.

The new truck has arrived at our station on 6/1/09 and it's in the process of getting lettered and getting equipment mounted on it. It will be going to the Fire Chief's Show at the Turning Stone Resort from June 10 thru 13. We are hoping in will be in service at the end of the month.
