Last night I attended the festivities with my old brother, Chief Kerrick. It was the conclusion of the event and featured the parade and fireworks. I was very impressed with the turnout at the parade, given the threat of rain and the economy and the fireworks (done by the firemen themselves) were spectacular to say the least.
Being a valley resident now; Old Home Days is just that....a chance to go home and see old friends and tell old stories! Me and the Chief did just that with a lot of our old friends. Chili my brother it was great to hang and bang like the old days.
Think about this my friends. Even if have not left your origin...set some time aside during these dog days and reflect and renew some old or existing friendships. Its worth its weight in gold.
I cannot wait now till next years event!
