A nurse who works in a large Catholic Hospital in the Northeast takes a quickie vacation (3 days) in Daytona Beach in February. She wants to get a good tan to show off, so she takes a medication that she obtained from the unit she works on. She arrives early to the beach, takes the meds and lays out in the sun for about an hour. Suddenly, she sits up and is drooling and her tongue feels thick and she has trouble talking. Her head is drawn down toward her shoulder. She also is really sunburned on the side facing the clear sky and sun. She freaks and asks her friend to drive her to the hospital. The ER doc takes one look at her and orders 50 mg of Benadryl IV and in about 10 minutes the symptoms disappear. She is embaressed and admits to the Doc what she had taken. Question: What did she take?

She took Thorazine, which caused a dystonic reaction. The reason she was embarassed is cause it's an anti-psychotic med ;D
