Towanda kicks off the forum!
Box assignment dispatched in Towanda Boro, 219 Poplar St. on Box 15-3 - Structure w/ multiple calls
N. Towanda 5 (Lt. Wilcox) O.S. w/ heavy smoke & fire floor 1.
Towanda 1 (W. Sheets) upgrades the assignment to the deuce w/ Cos. 21 & 25. The Chief arrives and establishes command 15 now reporting possible entrapment in bldg.
Engine Co. 17 specialed when 25 engine goes OOS with tire malfunction.
N. Towanda 2 (J. Sheets) reports fire extension into second floor. Requests vertical ventilation from truck company.
Truck Company 1 specialed after request made from N. Towanda 2 to supplement 15 Truck.
Engine Company 24 specialed on a transfer to company 17. Ulster 3 (Radney) requests 17 engine to 25 house w/ manpower to scene.
25 Rescue has air support on Poplar St.
Units still operating in the offensive as of 2130 hrs.
Athens 1 (Barry) placing 1 Truck in a stage mode on Second St. w/ SCBA personnel to incident scent @ 0935.
Hope to get the full report later from one of the Towanda/N. Towanda brothers.

One thing I noticed last night that could be an ongoing problem----how to get a ladder truck to negotiate the streets of Towanda! Last I heard, 1T7 could not make it to the scene due to the nature of the narrow, hilly streets, coupled with parking. I have no idea if this could EVER be resolved, but it is certainly an issue.
