Monroeton Boro - Shaffer's Feed Mill WORKING FIRE! LDH task force called for, Wysox transfer to station 7. Gotta get a live scanner feed over the internet at the station goin so us wackers who are away from home can hear what's going on. ;D Isn't this reminiscent of one year ago.

Now why would WE add a live feed? So any wacker in the state could have heard me ask for a structural box with a special call, then proceed to ask our dispatchers if they copied the assignment, then to be told by said dispatchers (quite professionally) that we don't have any boxes? I think if I keyed the mike at that instance, you would have heard my 9-1/2 left foot being jammed down by throat. I think we will pass on the live feed for now. I believe I embarrased myself enough in local wacker-land last night. Tim

Tim, Maybe I'm stepping out here, but it just sounds like a lack of communication with the "box".

Scott;
I was not implying that the dispatchers did anything wrong, quite the contrary, they took an embarrasing situation and tried to make it sound professional.
This was strictly a Monroeton officer mistake (mine) calling for something that didn't exist. Ironically, we had an officers meeting earlier that day to finalize our "new" boxes. I had pretty much forgotten that the boxes had been suspended for a period of time.
As far as communications "on-scene", I believe IC/Chief Shaw did an outstanding job of managing the resources that were requested and had this "job" under his control for the majority of the incident.
