I will post a little and try to get Deputy Chief May to add!!!
Approx 04:00 Western MICU 2 was returning from a call they had previously had that was taken to Troy COmmunity Hospital. They were traveling south on SR 14 and came upon a MVA.
Micu 2 requested Fire assistance and additional EMS resources to the scene as they found one person ejected, vehicle on fire with a very large debris field.
The first EMT (Jennings) to exit the vehicle found a male laying in the road on his back with his one leg under him and the other up to his side and a DOOR on him.
Canton Fire and Additional EMS and PSP Towanda were dispatched by dispatchers Jennings and Cotter from the Bradford County 911 Center with also placed Stat MEDEVAC 15 on standby.
Canton Fire Captain Bowman arrived on scene to a vehicle fully involved (to be determined it was only half), and reported Rt 14 Closed. 2 Truck 1, 2 Rescue 8 and 2 Tanker 6 responded to the scene along with fellow officer Deputy may, Assistant Chief Davy, and Lieutentant Holmes.
Western Medic requested tha the helicopter be scramble to the scene for the Pt.
Canton 2 arrived on scene and took command immediately after lookign the situation over. Canton 4 took over LZ command and got the Landing ZOne set up for the incoming aircraft. A scene search was conducted to look for further patients as the car was in SEVERAL pieces and scattered over a very large area.
After a exhautive search it was determined that no further patients were involved.
The vehicle had been traveling northbound at what we would guess was a very high rate of speed, Went up a small embankement, Struck a tree and Broke completely in to 2 pieces just BEHIND the drivers seat. The rear half of the car ended up 125 feet fro the impact location after being stopped by a hedgerow.
