I wanted to post a little on the fire real quick.
Kudos to the Ulster crew that responded to the Fire on the MILAN/EAST SMITHFIELD ROAD. I do apologize for the mistakes and lack of location on the initial page and mistakes that happened a couple times to follow. The call started as a Domestic Argument and turned in to a working fire really fast. It was a cell phone call that my partner took that was a very very poor connection. She had the caller on the line yet when I heard that he was going to set it on fire and within seconds said he had done it. Without looking up a box or anything I paged Department 17 and Ulster EMS. Yes the Box was delayed and the automatic Mutual aid was delayed. I forget that blasted RIT team for a while also. It was then reported the person had a weapon. Ulster 4 (which sleeps in his gear) responded immediately with WEAPON in hand.
We finally got some better directions and everyone got started in the right direction.
As a little side note. Against policy, I/we (dispacther 6 and 9) started Valley Police units to the scene since PSP was over 15 minutes away.
I hope to hear just how the "scene security went". I am very interested in nowing the process that was taken and how and when the actual fire attack was started.
We did our very best to make sure everyone was SAFE and updated as soon as possible. BOB---THANKS FOR STAYING NEAR A RADIO THAT WORKED!!
Oh yea--Can you believe---THEY GOT A FIRE MARSHAL!
After several calls by almighty BOB ;D
From what I understand the loser that did it is "taken care of"
