I would like to schedule and invite all interested in establishing a dialogue in regards to a local level training facility. Its time to put our "words" into action. This round-table discussion is by no means limited to the fire services of Bradford County, as I envision a multii-agency facility.
All parties interested, please gather with questions, opinions, and interest on:
Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Monroe Hose Company social hall on Main St. in Monroe Borough.
Please remember this is a round table discussion meeting to see if their is interest in pursuing this project further.
Hope to see a "full" house and yes, I will buy the coffee and doughnuts.

From the 9 House follow turnpike south till you get to second stop (can't remember if Ayers' corners is a four way, so don't count that one if there is one). You will just be entering the suburban area of our metropolis. At the stop sign cross over the expressway (Rt. 414) and head toward the business district. You will come to another stop sign. You are now in the financial district, with the Fire Operations HQ just off your right. At that stop sign make a hard right onto Main St. In the downtown area, just past the Federal Bldg. (Post office) is the social hall for the Bureau of Fire of Monroe Boro.
I hope this helps!

I want to say I am so happy to see a group of guys trying to get a county level training center set up. I would hope that there can be more support so that the few can keep going. I for one to apprecaite it and will support it in any way possible. Gary and Tim seem to have a pretty good grasp on what direction we need to move to. One of the only things that I have to offer is that someone to coordinate these training efforts after it is in place. To me that is one of our biggest problems now. We have no one to centralize the programs to share the info. We had someone and he was Removed and to my knowledge Mr. Mosser was not replaced by anyone (GOD only knows where the money went). The news and requests HAVE to have a better way of getting out to ALL FIREFIGHTERS. I think that this will have a big part of this training center..... WHO and HOW is SOMEONE going to RUN it? ? KEEP IT UP Count Canton Fire Department in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First I would like to thank the chiefs for hearing our pitch. There is alot of work to do and a lot of details to iron out. I will schedule another information meeting in the upcoming weeks. Lets keep the questions and suggestions coming. COMMMUNICATION is the key. There are alot of questions that we do not have answers for, YET. Again, we are still in the fact-finding mode. With continued support we will achieve what we all know we need a "Bradford County training center".

Tim and I met with the county firemans association last night. Of course Tim had to do most of the talking. They approved the "concept" of the training center. We would like to schedule a round table meeting in the upcoming weeks to get some more feedback and formulate a plan. I will be setting up a meeting with some "elected" county officials shortly. Stay tuned!

Gary;
Will you look into the line item bugetary dispursements for "training facilitator " for the fire service of Badford County. If this line item, or one similar that receives a stipend from the county coffers, is available, please make your contact and ascertain where these monies have gone or what the total monies available are. It is my understanding that this has been a budgeted amount, annually, through the EMA. Also, contact Director Vajda about his matter should nothing conclusinve come from your inquiry from your county contact.
Thanks, my brother!

We will be going public with the concept of the new Bradford county training center at the next commisioners meeting. I will schedule a round table meeting with all interested. The meeting will take place within the next two weeks. If anyone has a preferance when please let me know, if not it will probably be on a Sunday. Now is the time to show support and provide imput. Remember, this is a BRADFORD COUNTY training center.

There will be a round table meeting Saturday Sept. 11 at 10:00am at the North Towanda Fire Hall. All are urged to attend. We will go to the commisioners after this meeting. Please pass on to others who do not have access to this board.
