Is there any interest in this class? I have it scheduled for July 28th and 29th from 8-5 at the Ulster Fire Hall. We need 15 to run the class. As of the sending of this message, there are only 2 signed up. This is a class that is beneficial and is not offered very often. It is not just for fire personnel, but for EMS personnel as well. I have included the course description below as well. It is a requirement for anyone that may want to take the Fire Officer 1 National Certification in the future. It will also be beneficial for newly appointed officers or those individuals wishing to become officers in the future. If interested please go to WWW.BCFIRETRAINING.COM and register. If I can't get enough people I want to cancel it so I don't waste the instructors time. Thanks Bob Mckee Course Description: This course is designed for those individuals whose responsibility is to manage any of the facets of a volunteer emergency services organization. New administrative and line officers with less than one year of experience will derive the most from this program. Seasoned organizational officers will hone their knowledge and basic skills as a manager. Introduction to Volunteer Emergency Services Management demonstrates the basic management techniques needed to effectively administer a volunteer emergency service organization. Participants will explore the transition a member has to make when they step into the role of management in their organization. Through the use of small group activities, the participants will learn and apply the basic principles of communication, motivation, problem solving, decision making, and the management process to accomplish their organization’s mission and goals.

We currently have 13 people signed up for this class. I would like to get as many as possible because there are always a couple people that don't attend. If you are planning on attending please register at bcfiretraining.com to register. I would like to notify Instructor Carson by Wednesday. Thanks Bob Mckee
