It is once again that time of year when I update the Tioga Forest District's Forest Fire Resource Plan. This Plan could be considered the backbone of the Forest District in reference to anything relating to wildfires. It contains information on suppression, prevention, high-risk areas, and much more. I refer to this manual almost daily. There is obviously a large section dedicated to the Volunteer Fire Departments within the District.
Now for the reason for this thread. I request the following information from ALL of the Fire Departments in Tioga (PA) and Bradford Counties. It is crucial that this information is updated annually.
1) Fire Department - Name
2) Fire Department - Address (both mailing and physical)
3) Fire Department - Phone Number
4) Fire Department - Fax Number
5) Fire Department - E-mail
6) Fire Department - Federal and State Tax ID numbers (Fed. ID# should start with 23, 24 or 25; State ID# should start with 75)
7) Chief Officers - Name, E-mail, Home and Work Phone Number.
8) President, V.P., Secretary, Treasurer - Name, E-mail, Home and Work Phone Number.
I realize this is a lot of information, but I would hate to see a FD lose out on something (primarily grants, Federal Excess, etc) due to the fact I can't get a hold to the appropriate person in a timely manner. This information will remain within the Forest Fire Resource Plan unless I have permission to release it. I will send all e-mails so that the addresses are hidden.
Please send this information to my attention via US Postal Service, e-mail bplume@state.pa.us, or give me a call. If you have an electronic version that contains more information feel free to send it to me. I will just take the information that I need.
