Since I have nothing else to do (cough-cough), I am wondering who has SPECIFIC in-building coverage problems. Let me define that further; Schools, factories, strip malls, etc. I am NOT talking about the basement of every home. I would like to get an idea of buildings that you have KNOWN portable (not pager) communications problems. Canton School? Northeast School (with a caveat that, even if there IS problems there, the new Rome site may help), Meta-Dyne, RPH, Leprino, Osram, Dupont, any of the Valley schools, Taylor Packing, Craftmaster, Mills Pride, any others I may have missed. This is NOT intended to be an all-inclusive list and for those in the Towanda/Wysox area, new testing may have to be done since the Bridge Street site is up. Schools and the BIG factories/plants are my primary goal. I have a potential easy and inexpensive solution for some of these places - time will tell. Right now, I need people to verify coverage in these type of places. This is NOT urgent - it may be a long time until formal action, but an informal inventory would be helpful .

There are several issues in the Canton Elementary School, A few in the High School and way to many buildings in Main/Troy/Sullivan Streets, as well as Paper Magic and Shrader Bellows

Pretty much anywhere you go in Sullivan County you have coverage problems with a pager or a portable. The only thing that comes in good here is Lycoming County Fire 1 or Bradford County and Med 9.

What is he problem with the pagers? I have Minitor 3 and 4. I have no problem (well very little) other than when we are in a School or a real structurally sounds building in the Canton area. I know for a fact that this is cause from being so far from a Tower.

WELL THE ONE MAJOR REASON IS YOURS WORK SO WELL IS THAT YOU'RE ONLY 3 TO 4 MILES AWAY FROM THE TOWER. FIELD UNITS IN CANTON ARE 14 TO 15 MILES AWAY, BIG DIFFERENCE.

My gripe with Minitor III's & IV's is the sensitivy is fixed and can not adjusted. And they ain't half the pager the Minitor II is even with all the bells & whisles. SCA Spectors are better than the III & IV. But the low cost alternative is to convert Low Band Minitor II to High Band. So, ChecK out G&G. If you still have your Low Band Pagers

Minitor 4 pagers do have the ability of adjusting the sensitivity. Just look at the settings. I change ours all the time depending on where people live.
