I have a question, how is information relayed between Bradfrod County Communications and Lycoming County Communications. This goes in responce to an incident that occured today with myself advising Bradford County Communications that Western Ambulance two would be heading to Williamsport Hospital, you can recall MICU 1 due to them being 12 miles north of the incident and start a Medic unit (Medic 91) out of Williamsport with SHS in our direction to meet up with us. Later did I find out that after a communication with Lycoming County in the bodines area that the message was never relayed to them from Bradford County. After clearly advising Bradford that I did not talk with Lycoming direct while enrout to the scene I was tring to gain patient information from rescue 17 that was on scene to offer lifting assistance. Where was the screw up at, this was also heard by a local fire chief that heard the incident and was wondering when Lycoming was going to dispatch my assistance. Just wondering where the comunication berior was lost.

As far as I know Bradford and Lycoming communicate via phone with information like that. The also when a Sullivan County unit is heading into Bradford Co or a Bradford unit is coming into SulCo, will use the SulCo frequency 154.130 and communicate that way.

Just wondering where the comunication berior was lost. Jumper, For Bradford County to contact we have to contact Lycoming via a TIE line which is similar to a phone only it is a direct line. If that falls through we can utilize Sullivan County freq 1. THis is not a good way as it interferes with other traffic on the air. Where was the communications error (note the correct spelling). Well, I understand that there was other issues (with me) but it was with what you said. If you recall the dispatcher (not me) asked you when you keyed up and stated "contact Lycoming for the medic"---that transmission was clipped (first part cut off), The dispatcher said---DID YOU DO IT DIRECT---you said "no, I was talking to Station 17" ---I can say that the dispatcher felt that it meant you were having them contact Lycoming since they talk directly to them. The term CLEARLY STATED--- assumes that the person on the other end received the COMPLETE message and that the person understand COMPLETELY what you are saying. That is my guess where the ERROR was!!SO, Jumper---any other suggestions about where the screw up was???!!!

If the mike was cliped, and it could have happend due to the area where communication suck's where we were. The dispatcher should have been more specific about the questioning, instead ALS was delayed for 20 minutes!!

That was not the issue that it was a bad area. It was partially clipped off, Period!! Yes, Maybe the dispatcher should have been more specific when questioning. Then again, maybe you should have said what you were talking to Station 17 about . Again----Do you really want to discuss why ALS was DELAYED??
