I have had a few brain storms recently after some of my less than favorable incidents. Stress is something we all deal with in emergency services at one time or another, stress tends to bring out negative things. Also during stressful times we will be quick to place blame somewhere else, not that sometimes that blame isn't in the right place but at the wrong time. With that being siad, remember this next time you think you want to place blame on a dispatcher before you fire away: You have 1 or 2 radios that you are listening to an incident unfold on. At that same instance the dispatchers are monitoring 2 or more radios for each of the following, EMA, Fire, EMS and Law Enforement. Plus they have about 15 phone lines and about 24 - 911 lines that could be ringing all at once. Not bad for the 3 dispatchers at most that are on duty at that given moment. Remember, you are not always the most important person in a county of 60,000 people and sometimes they will not hear you the first time, maybe not even the second time. This is not to say that they don't make mistakes, everybody is human right? Pause for a second next time you get nagative, because negativity breeds negativity and we certianly don't need any more of that. ;D

No, sorry to burst your bubble. I just wanted everyone to be informed a little more before they whine and complain since there seems to be alot of it lately.
Just food for thought.
