Maybe someone can answer this for me. What type of GPS coordinates does Guthrie Air prefer for a landing zone? We don't use them often here, and the last time had a delay as the pilot was not familiar with our area. It seems that my GPS receiver can calculate many types of coordinates.

They have always been fine with the coordinates the EOC gives them (ex. 41 degrees 42.00'N, 076 degrees 51.00'W), which is no different than Stat or Geisinger; however, it is not uncommon for Guthrie to ask for the nearest intersection, find the coordinates using their own system, and send the aircraft to that location pending LZO contact. I have yet to hear of any problems with their navigation tactics, so it seems to work pretty well. Hope this helps.
