We are looking to purchase a new mini pumper to replace our old brush truck with.the new truck will eather be a ford F550 or a chevy/gmc C5500 and will be able to pump 500 -1000 gpm (undecided on pump size yet as Darley does not want to stand behind anything over 500 gpm unless they build it.)

sounds like a nice engine/ brushtruck you have on the way. looks like the company is headed in the right direction, with its last couple of purchases . is it a 2 door or 4 ?

Is this in service now? Has the current/former been placed OOS and what has been its disposition?
Lastly, I have heard a lot of Squad 1 on the radio, what is this unit and what does it have/equipped to make it a squad. Is this unit an addition to what is currently in the line-up or a re-configuration of existing apparatus?

the squad you hear on the radio is a 1969 1 1/4 ton jeep forestry truck,we do not keep to much on it as we are planning a military skid unit for it ,so for now we are using to haul what ever we need from site to site. the brush truck that replaced the 1967 ford is a 1990 f350 4x4 460 &automatic trans. with a new 230 gal skid unit waterous 18 hp pump, toolboxes and misc.equip. the other new truck has yet to arrive and we are very anxious to get it here.As stated before it is a 2006 chev.c5500 4x4 with a 400 gal.tank and 1000 gpm pump it has a remote control stinger on the front 150 gpm ,front and rear recievers with a winch . front discharge,2-1 1/2 preconnects.front intake, booster hose and elect.reel,5000 watt power inverter, scene lights, insta chains, 6"suction ea.side and other misc.lights and tools. It may also eventually carry some cribbing and hi lift jacks. this truck was ordered this way to help us help others in the winter where a heavier engine can not make it into the scene very easy.We expect to use it with our mutual aid company's Troy,Canton and Monroeton mostly.
