Hello.... We are Larry and Sue Barrett. We are fairly new members of the Canton Fire Department; Larry joined in 2000 and I joined in 2001. He does the firefighting and I'm a First Responder. I can't really think of much else to say about us other than we enjoy being in the fire company and helping our community (& neighboring communities).

Hello! Happy to see that Bradford County fire and EMS has made it to the web!
My name is Chris Chamberlain. I am an "original" Bradford County wacker who up and moved to Berks County several years ago. During my time in the Endless Mountains, I served with several organizations, including the The North Towanda Fire and Rescue Volunteers, the Towanda Fire Department, Towanda Ambulance Association (Squad 23), Memorial EMS (Tech 9), Guthrie EMS, and Greater Valley EMS (very briefly!).
I kept well within the Wacker tradition after moving to Berks County in 1998. Here in Reading I have served as Chief and President of the Lower Alsace Ambulance Association, in addtion to volunteering with the Reiffton Fire Company.
For pay, I work as an RN at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in the Emergency department. Additionally, I work part time as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Phoenixville Fire Department in Chester County, PA. And as if I don't have enough to do already, I am a Flight Nurse with University MedEvac at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA, working out of the Reading, Allentown, and Pocono bases.
Happy to see this site up and running, as it should allow me to see what's happening "back home".
Take Care!
Chris Chamberlain

Hello, I am Steve Nero. I am currently a Technician/Engineer for Andrews AFB (Home of Air Force One) Fire Dept. Maryland. I've been down here for 2 1/2 years now. We also run as Co. 74 for Prince Georges Co. I joined Ridgebury in 1988 then went into into the Air Force in 1990. In 1994 I left the Air Force and returned to Ridgebury. Served as Lt, Capt, President, and Director at various times between 1994 and 2001. In 2001 I was hired by the Dept. of Defence at Andrews as a civilian ff. It is good to see that Bradford County has a forum like this and that nobody viciously slams anyone else in their posts (unlike the forums here in maryland). I am still on the books at Ridgebury and it is great to be able to keep up on things that happen in good old Bradford Co.
